Even when using the latest high-tech gadgetry, like a new games console, men are little more than cavemen... at least if the conclusions of a recent research experiment are to be believed.

Playing and trying to win high-tech games like the latests releases from Playstation, Nintendo and Microsoft activates a part of the male brain linked to the primitive desire to conquer. This is the same desire that motivated the actions of cavemen thousands of years ago.

Both men and women participated in the experiment and, while women were also able master the game, they were not driven by the same desire.

Three structures in particular - the nucleus accumbens, amygdala and orbitofrontal cortex - were shown to influence men's thoughts.

And all this goes to prove what women have known all along: they're still cavemen.
