Things to Do in St. Maarten

good reason. Here are some of the activities one can engage in.
Go to the beach – What tropical vacation would be complete without a trip to the beach to dip your toes into the Caribbean and feel the salty air blow against your body.
Yoga – What better way to start the day than barefoot and engaging in the world’s oldest physical discipline? Face east and do a Sun Salutation as it rises early in the morning.
Cigars – Many hotel bars in St. Maarten will offer you wonderful Cuban Cigars. They are just the thing to help you relax.
Naptime – All yoga’d and cigar’d out? Grab an umbrella and snooze in the shade to the music of the waves.
Sidewalk Café – In St. Maarten, you can relax at any number of Cafés and drink in the sights and sounds of St. Maarten.
Mountain Biking – Three main mountain bike trails cross around St. Maarten. The main trail (Bellevue) gives you a good look at the Lagoon. These trails take you all over St. Maarten’s peaceful landscape.
Butterfly Farm – Hundreds of different species of butterflies as well as the beautiful Japanese music float through the air here. The farm is located in Le Galion next to the Bayside Riding stables.
Zoo – In St. Maarten’s Park you can find over 80 species of exotic animals. The park offers a play area for children. The park is located opposite Philipsburg at the northern edge of the Great Salt Pond.
Tennis – Many of the larger hotels on St. Maarten will have their own tennis courts. There are also many dotting the landscape of St. Maarten. There is a public Tennis and Fitness Center in Dutch Cul-de-Sac.
Sailing – There are more than a few boats available to be hired out to cruise the waters around the island. You can choose from yachts, catamarans, schooners and more. Some cruises will offer snorkeling and other diving.
