A month dedicated for a sacred book Ramayana

Ramayana, the sacred book of Hindu, has its own importance in this modern world.This month ( exactly starts from 17th July 2007, begins from 1st Karkadakam in Kerla) is dedicated to this sacred book. All Hindu families read the Ramayana with all its devotion specially in this month.

People believe that even listening of the Ramayana will bring a lot of fortunes in their life. All temples ready to read the Ramayana with elaborate arrangements. The Ramayana is not as easy to read fluently as the book was written in poetic style by the great saint Valmiki. Continues practice and devotion is needed to read the Ramayana error free. People who can read without too much error will be treated with great regards.

In Hindu mythology, Rama is the ideal man of universe and the Ramayana is based on Lord Rama. The book is is something like a journey full of great narration of nature, man, feelings, love, and everything. Even the concept of Plane was described in this book which is believed to have been written in between 4th 2nd centuries BC.

The concept of plane well described in the Ramayana and the plane of the Ramayana was given a name - Pushpaka Vimana. Anyway the mode of air transport was really in the mind of the writer Ramayana, around 1800 years back! Sorry to Wright Brothers....
