In the past Tiffany & Co. have been purchasing diamonds ready to go, however they have recently been trying to build up their own diamond business where they purchase raw diamonds then cut and polish them to their own high standards.  The link below shows images of the before and after of the diamond as well as images of the lab they use to create these magnificent stones.
