Tis The Season To Be Shopping

Christmas is finally here, and you may be sure of getting a good dose of what the holiday season has to offer: carols, Santa Claus, Christmas trees, white snow, church celebrations, and most obviously, special Christmas discount rates!

For most people, the first few days before Christmas would seem rather hectic; decorating up their houses, setting up the Christmas tree, and then it's off to the malls for some heavy shopping. Interestingly, the discount rates for items such as clothes, accessories and gifts seem the best on Christmas Eve. That's when you see huge groups of people in shops going on a wild shopping spree, buying anything and everything they can get their hands on! Snow globes, Santa hats, soft toys, greeting cards, electronic gadgets, branded leather products, Christmas tree-shaped earrings...you name it.

Even if you go to the shops with the intention of buying just a small, meaningful gift for your friends or relatives (or Secret Santa), you will inevitably be caught up in the Christmas shopping fever which radiates from those people who are carrying or pushing trolleys filled with gifts and presents. Once you've caught the fever, it's hard to stop yourself from buying another item, and another, and another......

When you've finally bought every gift for everyone you can think of, the next problem is wrapping up the presents in shiny, glossy wrapping paper with little Santa Clauses or Christmas trees on them. You would probably spend a few sleepless hours wrapping everything up (unless the shop assistants have bothered to help you wrap things up), and maybe write some greetings on each present, such as "Merry Christmas To You Bob!" or "Wish You A Merry Christmas!" if you happen to forget the receiver's name.

After all that fuss, you stuff the remaining presents under the Christmas tree, and the smiles and laughter of your friends and relatives makes it all worthwhile anyway.
