I have been racking my brains trying to think up a spooky topic…nothing comes to mind. More so, after reading all the excellent posts given so far.. Some inspiration…some inspiration… Let me admit that I am not a writer by natural instinct. I mean I cannot spin stories at the drop of a hat. Why, I cannot even make up a story for my 3 year old…he has to end all my stories himself! I am wandering from the topic now. Spooky Xomba. Why does nothing spooky ever happen to me? Why don’t I ever feel spooked? Always plain everyday things. Like, Its 1 am here. The World’s asleep, no noise, just the clock ticking away (what was that, I don’t even have a wall clock…),.. I can hear the rain drops (but, wasn’t it dry as a desert outside, when I went to close the door)…just everyday normal things…the water always gurgling from the cistern (I think the pipes run through the walls)…why, I cant even imagine shoes behind curtains, I have so little imagination …oh those black ugly ones are those my hubby always leaves behind…Now, did I lock the door, I always forget…I should get up and check…I need that coffee too to stay awake. Is that my hubby’s footsteps in the living room…He and the kids are sleeping in the big room out there…Maybe, he wants water. Wait, let me just finish this… Oh, the main door’s not locked – I forgot, I remember now… If a hand were to come behind me…now…as I got out of my cozy bed… a long snaky hand with long spindly fingers…that would be spooky! That doesn’t happen to me, nah, not, never…why is it so silent…when did the ticking stop? …Oh, I have to get up…but wasn’t it raining? Why is there no sound, NO sound at all…shit…the light had to trip now…who is there? …Bij, is that you? …oh you are here….hey take those hands away, I don’t think you have cut your nails for ages…nah KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF MY THROAT...AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
