On the day we put Tony Snow to rest, I think we all realize we have lost another good one! He was a true american hero in so many ways. Whether you liked his politics or not is beside the point, as his enthusiasm was infectious and his love of life inmeasurable. I had the pleasure of listening to Tony Snow deliver a key note address at the National Association of Broadcasters convention in Las Vegas a few years ago. He was not there to promote his radio show, the new fox radio network, or himself on fox news. Instead, he was there to talk about the wonderful efforts of the wounded warrior program that has aided so many wounded vets returning home. He turned the attention immediately away from himself and to a few special guests he brought to the ceremony. I don't remember their names, but their sacrifices still resonate with me. They were four soldiers who had given a major sacrifice, their lost limbs in support of our freedoms. In addition to acknowledging their sacrifice, he also acknowledged their efforts to help othere wounded warriors returning home. Like Tony Snow, these wounded warriors were eternally optimistic and appreciative for all the y had, despite their circumstances. Hence it was no surprise that Tony maintained his optimism and happiness throughout his illness and bitter battle with cancer to the end. Tony we will miss you and know you are smiling down upon us with that same enthusiastic, optimistic smile. you will be missed.
