1. Shanghai, China (lowest for risk and security, highest as a business environment).
2. Beijing, China (lowest score in financial services, with security risk also scores very low, highest for business environment).
3. Budapest, Hungary (lowest score on economic growth but highest as a business environment).
4. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (lowest score on education and IT connectivity, highest as a business environment).
5. Santiago, Chile (lowest score for commercial connectivity, highest as a business environment).
6. Guangzhou, China (lowest score on financial services, highest as business environment).
7. Mexico City, Mexico (lowest score for education and IT connectivity, highest for business environment)
8. Warsaw, Poland (lowest score on economic development, highest for business environment)
9. Bangkok, Thailand (lowest score on IT and internet connectivity and education, highest as a business environment).
10. Shenzhen, China (lowest score for financial service, highest as a business environment).
Well, so who's going to relocate to one of these tempting bright new cities? Really depends if you like a high-rise metropolis and are a business person. These cities actually have very similar total scores so their order is not so clear cut.
For me, I'd rather be in a city with good internet connections, good education and with air I can breathe without a mask. From the cities above, Warsaw, Budapest and Santiago seem the most tempting. But then again, where I live, high-rise means a eucalyptus tree!
