The whole concept of listening to depressing songs and watching sad movies after a breakup doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Logically, we should be trying to cheer ourselves up by watching lighthearted comedies or listening to fluffy pop songs. Yet, there’s little doubt that most people tend to spend weeks (or even months) after a breakup indulging their misery by listening to increasingly sad and depressing breakup songs.
