Top 10 Reasons You Should Be Posting On Xomba
Maybe you have already signed up for Xomba, and after writing a few Xombytes and Xomblurbs, and not making anything, you are starting to wonder if Xomba is really worth your time. Or, maybe you are reading this because you would love to find a website that you REALLY can make money from, and are leery after joining many sites that promise much but offer little. If so, then this Top 10 list is for you!! Happy Writing!!
#10 -- You don't have to wait for your Xombyte or blurb to be posted.
Several sites require that you submit your writing for approval before they appear on their site. Not that this is always a bad thing, for instance when you are trying to get feedback on your writing, it can actually be a great thing. But, sometimes, especially when you are linking to time pertinent information, you need to be posted quickly. Xomba posts your material fast, so you can start making money with them right away.
#9 -- Xomba promotes your material for you.
How many times have you submitted material to a website, only to have to promote the heck out of it just to get any traffic at all? If you are anything like me you have. Xomba actually takes the time to explain to you how to use G-trends and Keyword tracker, to find topics that are sure to actually have traffic. Somehow, I have had better traffic in the short time I have been on Xomba, than I have had on any other website I have written for. (In the same time frame.)
#8 -- There's no other website where you can click on a little purple alien for help!
No, seriously, I love that guy! It really is nice to have real help. I love how if you need advice, or an explanation of how something works, you can always get it. Whether you get it from Xomba's help articles, or a friendly user that helps you get started, or even from e-mailing the owner himself, there always seems to be a way to get you questions answered. It's nice to know the help is out there, so you don't feel like a flailing fish trying to learn the ropes of the website.
#7 -- You get paid through Google Adsense.
This one has to be one of my favorite reasons why I love Xomba. I can't tell you how many pieces I have written where my "earnings" get stored in some phantom account where you can't redeem the money until you reach like 50 bucks. And if you don't log into the site for 3 months, your earnings magically disappear. With Xomba, you are getting paid by Google, for Google ads. It automatically goes into your account, and if you don't write anything else for Xomba, you still have your money in your Adsense account, not in a "Xomba Account."
#6 -- You don't always have to write long articles.
I am a research nut. I literally search online for random bits of information that I am interested in for hours each and every day. Yes, I know that's a bit nuts. :) Do you know how wonderful it is to be able to write a small blurb pointing someone to something that I have researched or am interested in? It can just be a sentence or two. So in less than 5 minutes I can share a site or blog that I find useful, and then get right back to what I was doing.
So, you can do your longer pieces when you have the time, and do short blubs throughout the day to keep active on the site and making money, without stealing 5 hours from your day. It's just nice not to always have to write a thesis to be successful.
#5 -- There isn't some unknown formula that you get paid from.
So many websites pay you through some mysterious formula that they have created that they only know. It's really nice to know that if you write good quality material for Xomba, then you will make money. Period. You know that through the amount of traffic that comes to your blurbs and bytes, then a certain percentage will click on ads. Then you get paid. It's really as simple as that.
#4 -- It's a great testing ground.
Have you ever wanted to start your own website? Better yet, have you taken the time to create your own website, only to find out after months of hard labor and fixing errors, that you don't get any traffic to your site. So you give up and let your site collect invisible dust somewhere in the black hole that is the internet. Wouldn't it be nice to see if a topic gets traffic BEFORE you make the website?? Wouldn't you rather understand why keywords are important BEFORE you create a website that Google doesn't even know what it is about?? Well, Xomba is GREAT for that. You can pick a topic, or keyword phrase, and create some articles on it, similar to the material you plan on having on your website, and actually monitor how much traffic you receive and make some money in the process. So then when you have a better idea of what works and what doesn't, without spending a dime of your money.
#3 -- You can make money while you sleep.
It really is an amazing thing to go to bed, wake up and see money that has been added to your Adsense account. Tell me the last time your boss put money into your checking account while you were sleeping. It just doesn't happen. If you have any desire to start producing money even while you are not working, than Xomba is a great place to start.
#2 -- You can make money for sharing things that you find interesting.
I mentioned before that I do a lot of research. Well, I have looked high and low for a site where I can share with others things that I find useful and possibly make a little on the side for doing so. I somewhat pride myself on being the "searching queen" that I am (at least that is what my husband calls me), and I love the fact that I can share those tidbits and actual get paid for it.
#1 -- You actually DO make money.
My second day of posting, I made 51 cents. Now, I know that doesn't seem like much. But, when you take into effect that fact that that was off of only 2 posts, in 1 day. At this point, hopefully you are seeing he potential here. If that was only off of 2, then what happens when you write 200 quality blurbs and bytes? 400? What happens once you gain momentum and people recognize your name as being associated with quality content, thus increasing your traffic. The potential is really crazy. And since people are more likely to click on Google ads, since Google is a trusted company, you can rest assure that you will make more money with Xomba than you probably will with any other site.
So, after reading this you still haven't joined?? What are you waiting for. :) Simply follow this link, and join today. I promise, you will not be disappointed.

And to those of you who have joined but are frustrated, just keep on writing, and I promise it will pay off. Just focus on quality, and know that if you are writing things that people want to read, you WILL make money.

I have been a member of Xomba for a few weeks and I have made money. I just need to increase my volume. This is a great site for new and experienced writers. You have written a very good article. It should be read by everyone interested in joining Xomba and by all new members.

We do our best here at Xomba to give you guys a good shot at being read and possibly make some money while you are doing it. Keep writing quality articles like this and I'm sure your success will continue. +1
We work very hard here at the Xomba HQ to give you guys an always improving website.
We didn't have millions or venture capital when we started this company. I had been out of college for a couple years working a not so satisfying job when I contributed $1,500 of rolled coins to help start Xomba.
Those coins were given to me by my parents, a few years before, who had been saving them since the late 60's. I plan to post the complete Xomba origin story someday.
It is remarkable to read testimonials like these from our users. You have no idea how lucky and blessed we feel to receive praise like this from our community. We're constantly coming up with new ideas that will make this website shine.
Let me take a second and address your wonderful points. I feel that if you are going to take the time to write this that I can at least take the time to respond.
"#10 -- You don't have to wait for your Xombyte or blurb to be posted."
That's a big thing for us. Information in this day and age needs to be accessible immediately.
"#9 -- Xomba promotes your material for you."
We are always working on better ways to drive traffic to your articles. For instance, if you send us a 400-word article we'll distribute it all over the internet for you. This article will include a link back to your Xomba profile. Giving you higher exposure in terms of SEO and general public awareness.
"#8 -- There's no other website where you can click on a little purple alien for help!"
That little alien has been the topic of so many discussions we've had it is ridiculous. We've argued about canning him and promoting him numerous times. Currently, we've settled on just leaving him alone. One day we'll conduct a poll to see what users think about him.
"#7 -- You get paid through Google Adsense. and #5 -- There isn't some unknown formula that you get paid from."
We believe in being fair and transparent. Though it might be a little tricky setting your Google Adsense account up it is the fairest way we can think of paying you. This way there is a third party (Google) that is in charge of making sure you get your fair share.
"#6 -- You don't always have to write long articles."
In this day and age people want information as fast as possible. Writing a long article is great, but if you are just trying to point out something somewhere on the internet then you should be allowed to say, "Hey, check this out!"
"#4 -- It's a great testing ground. And #3 -- You can make money while you sleep. And #2 -- You can make money for sharing things that you find interesting. And #1 -- You actually DO make money."
One of the worst things about the internet are the people who make a living scamming others into thinking that they can be rich by just following some simple steps. We've taken great care in distinguishing between becoming rich and getting paid a fair share on what you post. Can you make a few hundred dollars a month on Xomba? Absolutely, but that shouldn't be your only motivation. Xomba is about paying you a share of what your content earns. We try to do everything in our power to make that as easy as possible. We can only pay you if your content makes money. The point of Xomba is that you should enjoy your time here. Whether you enjoy writing and sharing information or you think Xomba is a game to see how much you can earn, you're still having fun at the end of the day.
When I came out of college I had tons of friends who wanted to become writers. Being a successful writer takes a tremendous amount of work and talent. Very few published- writers make a "living" selling articles. However, Xomba makes it possible for you to publish your own articles without query letters and editors. Plus, we pay you a share of what your content earns. On Xomba, you're not just having fun being part of a quickly growing community made up of all ethnicities and nationalities, but your being given the oppurtunity to participate in your dream. Consider, each of your bytes or blurbs as investments in this website. Not just cash investments, but investments in owning part of Xomba. Believe me, people don't flock to Xomba to read the FAQ or Help pages. They come here to read what you guys have to say.
Think big and start small. That's how Xomba has gotten where it is today. Just make sure you enjoy the trip.
Feel free to contact us. Welcome to Xomba!
This has been the most informative article I have found about joining Xomba. It is well written point by point, in complete detail. I really liked the detail. It actually explained to me why I should join and what my expectations might be.
Thank you for posting such a great article.
" "#8 -- There's no other website where you can click on a little purple alien for help!"

I like the little fellow. What I really like is when I get a private message and at the top of the screen appears the purple guy with a mail carrier's hat and a mail bag over his shoulder.
I can understand why people might want to ditch him to change the look of the site. If he is removed, I hope he'll be kept on the site somewhere, maybe on a section of the site devoted to Xomba history, beginnings, etc.
On a related note, I can just picture Nick wheeling one of those metal wire shopping carts into a bank, bulging with rolled coins, LOL.
I learned more about the history of Xomba reading Nick's comments here than from anything else I've read so far. Wow, knowing how it began here, it makes me feel even more like this is truly a community.
See, this is why I like having comments after articles. Not only do we get to read a wonderful, well-written article by SaraJoy, we also get more details afterwards about Xomba itself.
is informative!
#7 -- You get paid through Google Adsense.
i hv read smwhr here at xomba that we can make use of affiliates too like clickbank, amazon, etc is it possible?
Sara really has elucidated all positives beautifully!

We did our own tests on Amazon affiliates and the results were mixed. We made some money on it about less than 20 dollars for the month.
The Amazon product needs to be very targeted and get lots of reads. We stopped testing it and have considered doing it again, but Google ads pay more. We're not sure if the Google Ad click through rate was affected by having these Amazon ads on the page. We suspected that it does take away revenue from Google Ads.
Just remember we're talking about thousands of reads here.
are proven...so i guess no point frightening the golden goose. it was just wondering aloud. lage raho munnabhai (roughly translates to carry on the good job!)

Thanks everyone for all the wonderful comments. It's really appreciated.
I think the first thing that drew me to Xomba is that it feels a lot more like a "mini-community", than just a writing website.
It's really neat how you got started in this site Nick. I have always loved reading stories about people who put everything they have into something, and then have it succeed. It may be nickels and dimes at first, but that change adds up and ends up changing your life. I love it!
I heard once that the only difference between people who succeed and fail, is that the people who succeed never stop trying.
Thanks for creating a site like this one. It's great to have such a great community to share my writing with!
#3 -- You can make money while you sleep. Haven't you ever heard of a government job :). This is a wonderful article and considering the fact that SaraJoy has been a member for only about 10 days, she has done a wonderful job of comprehending the nuts and bolts of success on this site. Keep posting
Loved your story Nick. Can't wait to find out more about how Xomba started. For me, Xomba has been a blessing. As a single mom, I can stay home with my daughter after work instead of flipping burgers to make ends meet. Sometimes, my daughter will sit on my lap as I write. She just loves the purple guy and calls him Weeb. God Bless you for starting Xomba and for being such a nice guy.
Hi i like this idea .
and keep going
I also use this website to publish my articles
Interesting Article. Thank you. I am a new member to Xomba and I have a question.
How long did it take you to get your adsense account approved? I applied a week ago. I keep trying to log in like someone suggested, in case the email did not get sent........with no success.
I am curious how long the average wait it.
Xomba said in its directions/instructions to wait 3-4 days.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
The biggest reason for a delay is not responding to their email that they send you. There should be a customer service number that you can contact them at and ask why there is such a delay.
I hope that you get it working. Good luck to you and let me know if you need absolutely anything. This website has been a dream come true for me, and I would love to help any way I can.
I've heard it taking over a week before.
If you haven't heard from them in 3 weeks try doing it again.
normally its in 48 hrs (mine was done in a few hrs 10-12!), but a referee of mine had taken 7 days to get it approved, and another took 10-12 days before getting rejected. dont worry adsense gets back either ways.

I am so glad I read your post, I thought the purple guy was just art work. Now I know I can click him. I get so locked in writting until I don't pay attention to pictures or adds.
Thanks!

Xomba is a great blogging community. What I like most here is the warmth and support of it's members. You will feel a sense of belongingness. The admin is very supportive too. I'm on my way to earning money here. :-)
--------------------
I'm glad you like Xomba. I am sure the longer you are here, you will fall in love with it even more like I have. It really is a community and it gets better the longer you are here. I have had seminars over the past few weeks and haven't been on as much and have really missed the "belongingness" that you refer too.
Oh, and in case anyone is curious, I have now made about 7 dollars or so I think from Adsense. If you take into account that I have been really busy the past few weeks and haven't written as much as I wish I had, I think that is still pretty good.
Like I like to say, once you make a dollar, you know you can make two.
That is, I didn't exactly 'choose' Xomba ... it's just that Nick is such an incredibly-awesome webmaster; I did a search for a site to provide me a writing-job, and "Xomba.com" was on the first page of results (if not the only page ... I forget, maybe I was drunk).
And, like all decisions made when you're drunk, you know it was something you have to stick with*! So, here I am!
Finally got around to reading this article and wanted to say bravo, kudos, props, wtg - very well written and super worthy of it's place in the top 10. Congrats!
And that's just you (MamaMia)! All the other inspiration shines like the omni-spatial moonlight of the Universal Night.
Thanks for the encouragement guys! I really love this site. The longer I am here, the more I love it. It's great to see new writers come in too to help expand this wonderful growing community!
Btw, if anyway wants or needs any kind of advice, help, ideas etc, feel free to pm me and I will help the best I can. I can't guarantee that I will have all your answers, (in fact I know I won't know them sometimes... :) ) but I will sure do my best to answer you the best that I can and do research for you when I don't know the answer.
hello sarajoy than ks for taking the time to explain how xomba works. I have read other peoples thoughts as well. It seems to me you have really taken your time to try and show people how to benifit from your experience. Thank you!
SaraJoy;
Very good write up. I couldn't agree more with everything you said. After my first day which was a Friday afternoon I had 17 cents which I was amazed out for a few bytes and blurbs. I didn't count Saturday and Sunday because not that many people do this on weekends.
By Monday mid-day I had $3.39 in my Google Account. I almost fell off my chair.
Keep up the good work!!!!

It's good that you read the articles, it helps you understand why people ought to make their Xom-bytes and -blurbs more-personal (to make the web realer and to build up a regular audience); but I would also like to encourage you to just-as-regularly comment on the articles you enjoy reading (as I think you already do), because–besides the FRεE Advertising–it also filters your audience, encouraging those who agree with you to read more of your comforting works.
In short, a `Byte or `Blurb doesn't count as "'rehd'" until you have made a comment to indicate the extent of your agreement-with-its-message, Xombie ... and, okay, BinkDonk is Awesome!!!
This is simply a great article should be read by all xomba users....congrats.....
Excellent article! Makes me want to post more! Have not seen an article like yours.
Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments! I truly think Xomba is the only place you can express yourself through your writing and get so much wonderful encouragement and feedback.
Speaking of needing/wanting to post more... :) I hate that I have been busy lately and haven't been on here nearly as much as I would like to be. Luckily summer is coming soon so I can spend all my free time doing what I love, writing. (For Xomba of course!! :) )
If any newbies happen to be reading this, let me once again reassure you that this is one website that you really can make money on. But, more important than any amount of money, are the wonderful people you will meet and friendships you will make while being here.
