10) I was never hired by my parents as an un-paid babysitter for younger siblings;

9) I never had to wear my older siblings used, handed down, mis-fitted clothing;

8) I didn’t have to share a bedroom, bathroom, or Christmas presents with a sibling;

7) There was never a question as to which kid my parents favored more since I was their only option;

6) I learned that stuffed animals and toys really do interact and make great company;

5) I never had a friend who could ditch me to be better friends with my brother/sister;

4) I never had a prettier, skinnier, smarter sister to be jealous of, because Lord knows I would have been;

3) Because adults were the only ones around, I grew up fast, observed and learned from their mistakes, and from that point on, found myself being bored by people my own age;

2) Because I didn’t have siblings to entertain, I stepped it up a notch and created theatrical performances for friends and family thus, my red-carpet-walking dreams;

1) I’m a genius. What else do you do during a childhood without siblings? I spent 70% of my day reading and I completed homework months in advance out of sheer boredom. Word of advice; if you do decide to have kids, make it a lucky #1…..you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
