With the end of 2008 looming, it is often worthwhile to take a look back and see which Internet searches got the most traffic. From a purely historical point-of-view, this list is a snapshot of the top 10 stories for the year.

You'd expect Britney Spears and Barack Obama to be on the list. But, there are some surprises.
