Top 5 Classic Nostalgic Video Songs for Kids

So you thought classic black and white movies and songs were boring and uninteresting? Think again. Because here is some great stuff that your kid will love to watch.

Here are my top 5 video songs from hindi movies that are sure to hold the attention of kids (and adults too):

  • First song is from the classic comedy movie called "Half Ticket" featuring Kishore Kumar, Madhubala and Pran. It has a PG Wodehouse like touch of comedy. Kishore Kumar dons the attire of a dim witted school boy to travel in a train on half ticket as he has insufficient money. Things go out of hand after that. The movie has a simple story line but is a laugh riot. Here is the song that the kids will love to listen and shake a leg to:

  • Second song is picturised on Nargis Dutt and Raj Kapoor from the film Shree 420.

  • Third song is sung by Asha Bhosale and picturised on Geeta Bali in the film Vachan made in 1955. The song is very soothing to hear. Works as a nice lullaby as well.

  • Fourth song is sung by Mohd Rafi from the film "Ab Delhi Door Nahin". Energetic and fast song that will hold your toddler in rapt attention.

  • Fifth and last video song is non filmy cartoon from doordarshan (films dividion). It is called "eK se bane anek". This is very cute cartoon song which has a meaningful twist to it. Excellent spellbinding music.

There are other old classical songs too. But these are my top 5. My toddler finds all the above songs mesmerising and is easily spellbound by them.

You are welcome to add your song to this list.

You Call Me 'Teacher'? Funny; Here's Your Assignment

I was going to say, "Hey eggs, that would be cool `coz you could add ..." but now I can say, 'Be sure to add transcripts of the songs (both in the original language and translated to English)' ... and, uhhh, have that on my desk before 'the bell' rings at the end of the 'day.' Class dismissed! ! - This HotGirl (well, many like her) can be yours if you Join Here! and show your love!

that is cool dude !

kukku, those are some cool vids. now i know why kids have so much fun.

Good food and simple entertainment.

Kukku I have just made a big plate of fried potatoes, onions, and melted velveta cheese. I am listening to another video I just found at the bottom of your last video in line. While I am eating my food. This is just plain fun. This is very simple... and life is good. I am glad I have the capacity to enjoy this. I could go on and on. I bet I start a blog about this page. Thank you Kukku.

secret stuff

It isn't the subliminals. It is the subliminalers. I am not afraid of the subliminals mythman. My favorite is still this one. Third song is sung by Asha Bhosale and picturised on Geeta Bali in the film Vachan made in 1955.

Still great stuff.

the hillbilly parallel is a good analogy of our population all the way around now awadays. I on the other hand do see the reasons for a change of character in America. I like stepping back into a time that was before me. And first hand being allowed to see good character even in the entertainment business. I genuinely like this page Mythman.

I Don't Know about 1955, but Back in 1969 ...

American children began their subliminal-education! Disagree? Join Here, Be Heard!

I don't mean 'Nostalgia's

I don't mean 'Nostalgia's bad'; its good feelings help guide us as we feel our way into the future. I guess I'm a hillbilly at heart---a man who sees how the old ways were generally better and who isn't very inspired to move on to a 'newer' way. The tradition I wish we could find again? Women's practice of living with men before agreeing to marry them. Disagree? Join Here, Be Heard!

'My Name in Your Hearts' Is All the Thanks I Need

'Heart,' 'Mind's Inspiring Loving-Space,' 'Mind's Infuriating Hating-Space,' 'whatever floats your boat' ("Mekka-Lekka-Hi-Mekka-Hidee-Ho!") and motivates you to visit and join Xomba; Right? Join Here, Be Heard!

Did we listen to this when they were fresh made?

Kukku was this american culture too? When this was made? Meaning your videos on your page here? Did American mothers show these to the todlers in America then also. I am listening to one of the songs now, I enjoy it.. I enjoy the singing. I think the oldest video was made in 1955. In nineteen fiftyfive, Home Maker was a profession in America. Gee...it is not anymore. I wish it were. I am listening to Mohd Rafi from the film "Ab Delhi Door Nahin" right now. What year was it made Kukku. I love this page.

yo ho
