Toronto Maple Leafs vs Ottawa Senators NHL Hockey Tonight 7:00PM EST CBC
posted October 25, 2008 - 6:12pmThe Ottawa Senators are in trouble this year and their goalies can take much of the blame. Martin Gerber and Alex Auld are at best backup and third string goalies. The Senators haven't had solid goaltending since Patrick Lalime and Ron Tugnutt formed a dynamic tandem in the early 2000's. The Toronto Maple Leafs, meanwhile, have played good hockey thus far and have a 2-3-3 record. They lost three games in a shootout if they had won those they would be sitting with a 5-2 record. Last game head coach Ron Wilson benched veteran Jason Blake after he has struggled so far registering just one assist.
I think maybe its time for a goalie change in Ottawa. Marc Denis is available and even Ed Belfour I think would be a good fit. For tonights game I think the Senators will win this game via shootout, I expect a 3-3 tie game. The game will be shown live on CBC's hockey night in Canada.
