Total Relaxation
posted July 7, 2009 - 10:41pmSummer is generally an extra chaotic time of year for my family and I, making it easy to forget to take some time for myself to just ReLaX. I was thinking the other day "what might be the most enjoyable and relaxing thing I could do for myself this evening?" I remembered how much I had enjoyed using the "WII Fit" during the winter months, and realized I should take the WII out of hiding. The WII Fit has a series of yoga exercises with an instructor, technique advice, and muscle toning tips.
I stretched a little before turning on the WII. I was excited to try all of the yoga poses again; it had been months since I had first tried them. There are about 12 different yoga exercises currently available to choose from on my Fit game. I started with the first option and continued one option after another, eventually I was absorbed in the exercises, my body felt great and well stretched, and I slowly became totally relaxed. I did every one of the exercises and intend to do so more often. Practicing yoga is not only relaxing; it is good for the body in so many ways. Yoga really tones up your muscles, increases flexibility, and helps correct your posture.
