Touch of Skin

Touch of Skin

1
points

Rain splattering on an open window’s pane-

Chittering and chattering, my winged friends-

And I wait patiently for the Sun to rise again.

I await your loving whisper,

And the touch of skin

I await your soft, yet livid eyes;

For you to come again.

I love this place so wholly,

From the mud to the clouds;

’Tis so perfect, nearly

I count my love aloud-

I await your loving whisper,

And the touch of skin

I await your soft, yet livid eyes;

For you to come again.

Walking barefoot, muddied to the knee

Drenched in the rain, and all it’s glory;

Wandering hither and thither, quite aimlessly-

And I realise slowly, I’m searching for ye’.

I await your loving whisper,

And the touch of skin

I await your soft, yet livid eyes;

For you to come again.
