Toyota may add solar panels in 2009

Toyota engineers are looking at ways to integrate solar panels into the roof of its Prius vehicle. The panels would not be a direct source of power for its electric engine, but, more for things such as air energy for electric components such as the air conditioner...

Solar panels are becoming much more practical. Kudos to Toyota on a great idea. Now there are rollable, flexible solar panels that can easily be applied to the exterior of buildings and rooftops..even vehicles. It's a good thing. Wind power is also getting more practical and affordable for home use. Many of the taxis and busses here in Bangkok are NGVs. Quiet, smooth running and, by the way these guys drive on the freeway, they perform well!
