Kube, just a few minutes from Montmartre, resides behind a restored 19th century façade in which a giant translucent Plexiglas cube serves as the reception.
As the name suggests, geometry is a key feature, not only of the space itself but also of the black glass-clad walls, the cubic armchairs and silver cascades overhead.
The bar area is central to this concept: the futuristic Ice Cube bar on the mezzanine ( using 25 tones of ice and featuring Bubble Chairs by Eero Aarnio ) combines with the Lounge Bar to amplify the geometric fantasy world of the reception area.
The rooms, which have a pastel colored feeling, overlook a quiet interior courtyard that serves to soften the otherwise sci-fi feeling of the design in which biometric fingerprint technology is used to control room access.
