Traveling To A Ghetto In Rio

Have you ever been to a Brazilian ghetto? Probably not. American ghettos differ greatly from a Brazilian ghetto. Well, its not called a Brazilian ghetto; it is called a favela. They have favela tours in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. You pay a reasonable amount of money and you will be allowed to tour the favela. Now, your thinking why would I want to go unprotected? You will be protected because the druglords will be notified since they get a portion of the money. What you will experience may have an impact on your life. You will most likely come back to your house a better person and realize you take alot of things for granted. It is common to see multiple people to sleep on a single bed or furniture. It is common to see people sleeping in the streets. It is common to see no police because they are afraid. It is common to see kids smoking. It is common to see guns. You get the point. Beware of your surrondings regardless of your protection.
