Trek Pay: A Romance That Was Over Before It Even Began…

Trek Pay is a ...well, it doesn't really say what it is on their site, but as far as I can tell, it's something of a revenue-sharing paid to click site.
I never stayed long enough to learn the ins and outs of the site, but from my understanding, it works on a credit system. Every week, Trek Pay shares some of the money it's made amongst its members. The amount you get depends on how much credits you have.
I'd only been properly active on Trek Pay for a day or two and had made a total of 20 credits. I clicked all the links I wanted to click except for three. The reason I didn't click on those was I got the impression I was being encouraged to click on Google ads. I was uncomfortable with that.
When I refreshed my browser, a 4th link came up. I thought: oh great - new ad to view! So I clicked on it and got this bizarre message from Trek Pay:
"Manually entered or bookmarked url. Cheating will not be tolerated. We're watching."
Go figure.
I didn't manually enter or bookmark anything. I'd never seen the URL before.
So I tried again ...and the same thing happened.
I then contacted Trek Pay to find out what was going on:
Never got a reply from them.
At that point, I took it as a sign, decided it wasn't worth my time (not at this early stage) and moved on. I suspected the 20 credits I'd earned wouldn't amount to much anyway.
Now, I’m not saying Trekpay isn’t working for other people. It does. I've read about several people getting paid on various blogs and 'good for them' I say. But, this trekking wasn't for this lil missy right here.
My advice to anyone who's heard about Trek Pay and is thinking of hopping onboard, read a comprehensive review on it here. You'll find it particularly useful as it also has feedback from a range of people who've actually used it.
Too-doo-loo.
