November 26, 2007, - Trichomoniasis is an STD that is transmitted through sexual intercourse and from toilet seats, beddings and towels. It is found to have a higher percentage rate in prostitutes. Trichomoniasis has a higher incubation period in women than men.

Symptoms of Trichomoniasis in women are: blood spotting vaginal discharge, pain and discomfort while having sexual intercourse, swollen and irritated vagina. Men normally do not have symptoms but if they do its; tingling inside the penis and painful urination.
