Trick-or-Treat for Community - Boulder
Starting tomorrow Monday, October 19, 2009 Boulder is starting their annual “Trick-or-Treat for Community” Donation Drive. It runs from October 19 to November 2. This event takes place at University of Colorado at Boulder. They are asking people to now join the Volunteer Resource Center in gaining donations for the event. They encourage everyone throughout the community to get a group of friends, family or collogues together to gain as many donations for the homeless as possible. You are asked to register on their website here for your group. Then they ask you to go around and “trick-or-treat” for weather appropriate clothing, toiletries, and blankets for Boulder Shelter for the Homeless. You can now start to register your group on their website now. They start accepting whatever donations you receive tomorrow.

If you have any questions there are a few ways to get into contact with Volunteer Resource Center. You can visit their website at, http://www.colorado.edu/vrc/, or call them at 303-492-7632.

Don’t be shy, or scared. Get out there and do your part in helping Boulder Volunteers in their annual donation drive! If you are unable to get a group together and actually go do the tick-or-treating events yourself then contact them about donating your own items that you no longer need! Remember how cold it gets in the winter here in Colorado? Well, now can be the perfect time for you to finally let that 10 year old winter coat in the bottom of your closet that you have not touched in years. Or the old blankets that you no longer have a need for! I know that it can be hard to part with your old items, but sometimes we need to realize that what is junk or old news to us is a treasure to another!
