In troubled times: the economy and you

As fear begins to grip the people around the world, we can only ponder the reasons why these things happen. Do we live in a cyclical world? There have always been the ups and the downs, but ultimately it was the will of the people that decided the fate of a day. History has proven this time and time again. Empires of all sizes have risen and fallen. If we understand the structure of the world and its history, than we can see that there isn’t much to fear. I do admit that the majority of the problems today have to do with the fact that we did nothing to stop them. We simply stood by and allowed the morals and values of our fathers to diminish with time. We have begun to de-evolve as a global society. Some would say that our advances in technology would counter that statement. However, how can we fully utilize these new technologies without intelligence in society? How can cancer curing drugs help a society that doesn’t care about health? How can we search for life on Mars when the majority of life here doesn’t know what it means to live? If an alien race landed on here on Earth, would we be proud of the job that we did to protect the Earth and her people? Could we honestly say that we are a peaceful people? I think not and there isn’t a man, woman, or child that would say otherwise. We all know the facts. We all pay for our decisions that we have made throughout this life both as individuals and as a mass.

Human understanding takes time. It requires diligence and patience. Without these critical items, there are heavy consequences. There is a real need to understand each and every step that we take. We must understand that there is a action for everything that we do. As with each action, there is a reaction. Each idea creates a ripple in the pond of life. Corny as that sounds, ideas can help or hurt. Given the world we live in, it would be in the best interests of all people to step back and evaluate the actions we have taken and make corrections where needed.

If every family took in just one homeless person, the entire world would have a home. If every person of age voted and participated in elections, then we would have the right people running the governments of the world. If the world could stand for just one global cause, then there would be world peace. Never in our time has any of these things occurred.
