Truth About Flying Cock Roaches and World's Largest Roach

There are so many questions being asked about whether flying cockroaches exist. I have seen it on the internet and one of my family members has just asked whether they exist. I did not beleive that they did myslef. It turns out that there is an insect known as the flying cockroach. The flying cockroach is the types of cockroaches known as the german cockroach and the american cockroach. Over 50% of the roach species live in the US. Flying cockroaches are attracted to light and can grown to be over 2 inches long. There are not many reported sizes on the flying cockroach, and relatively not that much information to be found on what is referred to as the flying cockroach itself. Other than fossils that have been found, the largest living cockroaces are the giant burrowing cockroaches or other wise known as the rhinoceros cockroach or litter bug. The rhinoceros cockroach can grown up to over 3 inches long and weight a little over a gram. They do not have wings like other roaches and are not considered a pest. These roaches are crucial to the ecosystem because they eat dead leaves and plants. The rhinoceros cockroach burrows up to about three feet into the ground and makes it a permanent home.

German Cockroaches and American Cockroaches Do Not Fly!

The flying cockroaches you may have encountered are probably the Asian Cockroach. It is similar to the German Cockroach, except the Asian cockroach can really fly. The Asian Cockroach can sustain flight for about 150 feet.

You can visit the Wiki on this insect or try a different search engine. Maybe the one you use is inadequate.
