Try Copycat Red Lobster Shrimp Scampi Recipe
posted September 24, 2007 - 5:08pmI just love seafood, especially shrimp but I hate paying restaurant prices for it. And right now Red Lobster is running their Endless Shrimp special... so there are commercials on all the time trying to tempt me into going there and spending money... money that I dont have for expensive restaurant meals...
I would rather cook it at home and control the quality of my ingredients, and save lots of money. But, there has always been some elusive quality about the Shrimp Scampi at Red Lobster that has escaped me in home cooking.
Elusive no more, as I now have the secret....
I have signed up for the free newsletter on this site and they send me new Secret Copycat Restaurant Recipe almost everyday. I am saving to buy the whole cookbook series, which is very reasonably priced. I have tried several of the recipes now and they are all really good and not too hard to make.
And today's recipe was for Copycat Red Lobster's Shrimp Scampi.... oh yum....
So I ran out and picked up a pound of Wild American Gulf Shrimp because they have such a sweet fresh flavor and whipped up this Copycat Red Lobster Shrimp Scampi recipe....
It was so, amazingly good and so simple.
Just put the pasta on to cook and while it is cooking:
Mix up the ingredients to the secret sauce in a baking dish
Add the shrimp to the sauce
And bake for no more than 7 minutes.
Serve the shrimp and the sauce over the pasta and enjoy...
It was so easy... and I never would have thought to bake it like that.... There is a real surprise in the secret scampi sauce ingredients too.

They are really great and .... Free...
