Trying to make a living from home

Trying to make a living from home

I have been trying to make a living working from home for the past 3 years, I work as a freelance writer so the majority of my work is done at home or at a rented desk but I have always wanted to work solely from home. One of the things I looked into 3 years ago was affiliate marketing, I looked into so many different opportunities and in the end settled on mobile phone affiliate marketing. I have done pretty well from this so far the only thing is the time and effort it takes to start seeing some reward.

I have spoken to several people who have gained total financial freedom working from home, I am yet to do this but I know with hard work I will eventually get there. These are the ways I am looking to gain total fincancial freedom working from home.

Affiliate marketing

I have been doing mobile phone affiliate marketing for the past year now and I have managed to build up some good passive income from it, although I still continue to promote the two sites I am working with, it is pretty much automated. The sites I am currently working on are:

Initially I had to put a lot of work in to get both sites up and running and out there but now I do minimum promotion for maximum profit. I use twitter, facebook, blogging, online and offline adverts and e mail marketing to generate sales and they have proved effective.

Online content writing

I started writing content online just a little over a year ago the two sites I am working on now are

I am also a member of Helium but I am not currently posting any articles on there, I am interested in joining ehow and squidoo to maximise my exposure and earn more money. I have set myself daily, weekly and monthly goals for both websites and I hope to see some good income over the next few months. My passion is writing so hopefully I can make more money alongside my freelance writing duties doing what I love best.

Blogging

I started blogging about a years ago but never took it too seriously, I put together a magazine style blog called Intrigue, this is the first one I put together www.intriguemagazine.blogspot.com I gained a lot of interest in this but did not really see any money from it. I love writing about entertainment so I am currently putting together some music related posts for my blog and carrying out interviews and doing reviews.

I am a single mother now with a 8 week old baby so I have put my experiences into blog form to help other women in my situation. www.babyfatherdrama.blogspot.com

I am going to push forward with blogging and hopefully I shall see some good returns for the time invested.

Online Music Reviews

From what I have seen there is only one site that is worth doing when it comes to doing online music reviews and that is www.slicethepie.com the pay is pretty low but it all adds up and if you have a couple of hours a day you can easily earn £5-£10 a day depending on your star rating. The lowest star rating earns you 5p per review and the highest earns you 10p per review. You review tracks from mainly up and coming artists but some established as well, the only thing with this site is you have to do a certain amount of reviews before you actually start getting paid and it all depends on how accurate the review is. You don't have to write an essay but you have to actually listen to 60 seconds of the track and write a few lines. I will do this just to earn a couple of guaranteed pennies and keep them in my paypal account so they all add up. You have to reach £5 before they pay you through paypal.
