The Turkey Holocaust

The Turkey Holocaust

Ever wonder what it's like to be a turkey? I do... Imagine this...

You are born a turkey. Life is good. Everything seems to be ok. The hunters are out there as all the rest of the turkey population knows. But if you can just stay out of their sight , you can have a pretty good life. Then the year rolls around to November.

The good turkeys of the world try to hide their children as the Holocaust begins. Once a year, a holocaust of turkeys ensues that makes the holocaust that inspired World War II look lame to put it simply.

I mean, millions of turkeys die. They have to die, so we can gorge ourselves. They emit chemicals that make us sleepy for a couple of hours as their last laugh.

Imagine being the turkey...every November all my friends disappear. Every November my family is desecrated. And... you are dead...why? Because it's December, and though the December Holocaust of Turkeys is not as bad, it still catches some of the ramblers.

I love turkey...I eat white or dark meat... But it has to be a little crazy to live the life of our Thanksgiving feast...

Thanks for reading...

Wild Turkeys

I was hiking in the mountains some years ago when I came upon a group of wild turkeys. As I walked toward them, they all headed toward a little cliff, beneath which was a drop off of at least 100 feet. Petrified at my presence, they went over the edge. Realizing that turkeys don't possess the gift of flight, I thought they were goners. I breathed a sigh of relief as I discovered they can spread their wings and float pretty darn well. :) ↑ Grab this Headline Animator
