Here's something I wrote I think in third grade. Consider this was about 1965 in the middle of all the revolutions, riots, assassinations and general uprisings. I was an eight year old boy. I think this still speaks to our time now.

Two Worlds

Looking at the world’s ugly reflection
Trying to figure it out,
While I stand crowded
Where there’s standing room only.

Looking at the giant world
Sharing with others
While people cold and lonely
Try to beat the establishment.

World full of disgust and ridicule
A world full of people cold and lonely
A world full of dirty water,
And crowded neighborhoods

……Can also be a world full of
……Love, Joy, Peace and Happiness
