UFC 79 weigh ins took place today, the 20 fighters taking part in Saturday’s year-end UFC 79 event hit the scales for official UFC 79 weigh ins, which took place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
All 20 fighters for tomorrow’s year-end UFC event made weight.

A near-brawl between rivals Chuck Liddell and Wanderlei Silva made for great hype at the weigh ins. After both made weight Silva ripped off his shirt and him and Lidell stared each other down before Lidell flipped Silva off. In other recent MMA news (CSAC) reduced UFC lightweight champ Sean Sherk's suspension for a positive steroid test to six months and the UFC has decided to strip Sherk of his title, according to UFC.com.

Steroid use and the use of performance enhancing drugs & supplements is rampant in most sports, the UFC is no exceptions where fighters are under extreme pressure to increase performance, build muscle and lose fat.
