UFO Scares Police Helicopter

UFO Scares Police Helicopter

A police helicoper was flying around and generally doing its thing when it was suddenly accosted by a greeny-blue 'probably non-metallic' UFO.

It happened at 1,500ft above West Bromwich and stunned the police men inside. At the time, they were carrying out survaillance on the ground when their attention was arrested (heh) by some strange lights in the sky only 300 feet away. Due to such close proximity, the chopper had to swerve a little bit to avoid any possible collisions as the ufo circled it several times and then flew away.

At first, the cops thought it was perhaps a model airplane but were a little spooked when they scanned the area for radio-controlled activity and found none.

A report was compiled by the Airprox Board which described the craft only as "small and probably non-metallic". Also, its intent was said to have been possibly "sinister".

Nick Pope, who used to work for the Ministry of Defence’s UFO desk can be quoted as saying "A helicopter was nearly blown out of the sky.....

This is a disturbing incident which needs to be thoroughly investigated.”

I'm sorry, come again? What was that Mr Pope? "A helicoper was almost blown out of the sky"?

That's stretching the truth a bit isn't it? I mean, really all that happened was that a couple of pilots saw some lights that didn't do anything other than stay in the general vicinity of the chopper.

Still, can't get enough of that good, old fear-mongering, now can we folks?
