UFOs – I Don’t Think They Exist

There seems to be an amazing number of well-meaning and serious people who believe in the UFOs. The other night Larry King had a whole hour devoted to various “experts” talking back and forth about the issue. People who claim they saw an UFO were so impressed by the experience that no amount of counterargument or logic seemed to dissuade them. It made good entertainment but not any sense.

I have never seen an UFO personally. But more importantly, people in general are not thinking long and hard enough about the implication of the claim “I’ve seen an UFO.”

That means “I’ve seen Aliens visiting Earth.”

Okay. So where can these Aliens come from? From the nearest star system of course.

Since Alfa Centauri is the star system closest to our Solar System, if aliens are visiting us, the probability that they are coming from Alfa Centauri is higher than any other star system.

Next question – how far is Alfa Centauri?

4.37 LIGHT YEARS to be exact! That is, if one travels at the speed of light, one still needs to travel 4.37 years to reach Alfa Centauri.

Imagine a civilization investing precious resources to take such an arduous journey across space, traveling for over 4 years at the neck-breaking speed of light, and presumably another 4 years to go back home… for WHAT? Just to take snapshots of the Earth and disappear as fast as they show up?

It’s simply ludicrous. And what makes it even more incredulous is the fact that such “sightings” seem to be going on for “years” now… so we are looking at perhaps THOUSANDS of visitors traveling for god knows how many LIGHT YEARS just to mess up with our minds. Imagine the energy needed to propel such a “spaceship” across such a distance…

Energy is expensive everywhere around the universe. That’s why I think if the UFOs were real, the “Aliens” would’ve gotten into contact with us by now IN PERSON and let us know why they are here. They probably would have extracted what they came here for instead of returning over and over again like they have lost their way despite all that superior technology.

Since they haven’t contacted us, I'm concluding "they" do not exist.

4.37 Light Years is just too great a distance for the Mother of All Expensive Sightseeing Tours Across the Universe.

UFO: Unidentified Flying Object

"UFO" means Unidentified Flying Object. Simply put, something is moving through the sky that cannot be identified by the observer. If you say that "UFOs don't exist" then you are claiming that you personally can identify everything that moves through the sky day or night under all kinds of weather. I wish my eyesight were that good. But, I digress. There are enough things that happen on Earth that cannot be explained by either science or religion, but that doesn't mean that there isn't a physical or metaphysical reason for them happening. It comes down to knowledge--the more you have the more you realize you don't know. Throughout mankind's history, there have been men (and women) of science who have discovered things--Nikola Tesla comes to mind--that were so far beyond contemporary technology that their work was deliberately suppressed by governments (and sometimes the Church) lest they cause a "panic" in the masses. I read a story about the first European ships carrying explorers arriving off the coast of the New World. The first native peoples didn't see them and carried on with their lives as if they weren't even there. Their minds could not even conceive such technology as sailing ships, so the ships were simply blocked out. It wasn't until one of the shamanic elders studied the curious patterns in the water that they finally were able to "see" the ships that had been there all along. Personally, I believe that there are lots of things that have been here all along, but our minds have been unable to process them, so we have not really been able to "see" them. Every now and then, somebody's mind processes well enough to override the conscious brain and that is when sighting occur. Just because not everyone can see something all the time doesn't mean something isn't there. Click here if you have something to say and want to get paid to see it!
