Unconditional Love

Unconditional Love

All my life I desired to be loved, not for what I did, just for who I was, good or bad.
There is a darkness that dwells in man, left unchecked, all manner of evil spills forth.
I guess you could say, I'm blessed. The evils, the wrongs I committed never hurt anyone physically, emotionally yes, physically no. Except that one time..... Anyway, wrong can be rationalized, there is always a "reason" we commit wrongs, and usually it's someone else's fault! "Well if he wouldn't have.... I wouldn't have...." and so it goes.
Love has a hard time surviving in that environment, a love that is conditional on performance. I think many can relate to this being said by parents. Mom says,"When you are good, you are mine. When you are bad, you are daddys'"
So we learn, if we're good, do well, work hard, we'll be loved. And what about the other side of that, I don't feel I deserve to be loved. I'm not good, I don't do well, I don't work hard, I'm not worthy to be loved.
How sad it all is, yet, there is hope. There is something else, there is a love that isn't performance based. A pure, clean, all encompassing love.........
"For GOD so loved the world that He gave His only brought-forth Son, so that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but possess everlasting life."
"For GOD did not send His Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."
"He who believes in Him is not judged, but he who does not believe is judged already, because he has not believed in the Name of the only brought-forth Son of GOD."
His blood was shed for our sin so that we could be free from death and hell.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the favourable gift of GOD is everlasting life in Messiah Yahshua our master."
"No one has greater love than this: that one should lay down his life for his friends."
"For one shall hardly die for a righteous one, though possibly for a good one someone would even have the courage to die. But GOD proves His own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Messiah died for us."
"Having now been declared right by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him."
"For if, being enemies, we were restored to favour with GOD through the death of His Son, much more having been restored to favour, we shall be saved by His Life."
So, you see, the love of GOD is the answer to our deepest need, to be loved, unconditionally.

Read the Bible, get to know the One who created us, the One who loves us.
