Upgrade to Google Voice Communications

Upgrade to Google Voice Communications

Google makes moving from GrandCentral to Google Voice communications easy.

Google makes moving from GrandCentral to Google Voice communications easy. Google will email instructions that will appear in GrandCentral users' inboxes prompting the upgrade from GrandCentral accounts to Google Voice accounts.

Google acquired GrandCentral in July of 2007. Google Voice, is the next version of GrandCentral. Low-priced international calls and access to FREE GOOG-411 directory assistance are just two features offered with Google Voice. All features offered with Google Voice are FREE except the charges for international calls.

The new system will also provide transcripts of voice mail. Users will be able to save and search SMS text messages that they send and receive.

Google Voice provides one number that integrates with all the user's phones. The features are endless. Plenty of opportunity for "how-to" enthusiasts.

As of this writing, Google Voice is currently open only for GrandCentral users. Use the link below under Resources to initiate a Google Voice Invitation Request so that you will receive notification when sign-up is available.

Instructions

STEP 1 - Visit the Official Google Blog to learn more about Google Voice (see link below under Resources).

STEP 2 - Visit the Google Voice About page to see what great features are included (see link below under Resources).

STEP 3 - Initiate a Google Voice Invitation Request (see link below under Resources).

Tips and Warnings

At the time of this writing, FAX capability was not available with Google Voice.

Carrier charges for the use of cell phones may apply.
