US Seeks New Beginning with Islam

US Seeks New Beginning with Islam

The best speech in History so far! George W Bush could not have delivered anything approaching it. Not only because of his bullying nature but also because of the man’s relative lack of education compared to Obama. Reasonable people must be shuddering to think what the world situation would be bow without the election of this exceptional man.

Barack Hussein Obama, President of the United States of America seeks a new beginning between his country and Islam. The speech contained quotes from the Talmud, the Bible and the Koran, in depth knowledge of History, mutual respect and TRUTH.

Noam Chomsky and Publius Vomit Together...

Excuse the trite title of this post but your comment's title prepared me for a comment from Publius - thought he'd come up with some actual argument - perhaps he's still working on it... I read your article - thanks for the link - and that of Chomsky linked from your article. I am now sure that the lot of the Palestinians is even worse than I realised. I'm disgusted with British Gas profiteering and ashamed (not that either will help the Palestinians). Don't you think Obama offers more chance of changing the Palestians' lot than W Bush did though? Chomsky sets out the reality of what Obama needs to address in American policy and the real state of play he inherited. I don't want to believe that Obama supports any aspect of the inhumane conditions in the Gaza strip - that said if he brings no real change I'll have to. I'm hoping the details of Palestian treatment and Israel's inexcuseable behaviour were omitted from his speech due to time limitations. I hope Obama doesn't do a Tony Blair - ie so much promise was actually lies. Thanks for your comment - I recommend anyone reading this to read your article and follow its links. I guess Noam Chomsky vomited

I guess Noam Chomsky vomited too... but eloquently, no doubt. here's a short piece about his longer article: http://www.xomba.com/chomsky_obama_s_rhetoric_israel_and_middle_east Read the israeli comments that they can call it a "palestinian state" or they can call it "fried chicken", what's important is who has the biggest gun. World Wars One and Two - Lessons from History

Tony Bliar and George W Bush learnt nothing from them. I worry that some men are intent on making history and making war and promoting hatred is a sure method of doing so. Obama on the other hand knows history and not just a narrow band of it. What did you think of his speech in Cairo? I didn't think it would deliver so much - worried that issues would be avoided - glad I was proven wrong. Thanks for your comment and vote. Wrong Publius! Paranoid and full of Self Righteous ****

I hope that's in the rules to state, as false accusations are seemingly allowed. How about you just stay away from my articles if you can't argue against them in a meaningful way? This article was meant to stimulate debate about Obama's excellent speech not for you to apply predictable negativity again. If you want to make a list of what was wrong with the speech (you obviously have time on your hands) do so and let me consider them in a reply. You really are a piece of work. You pile it on. How much time do you have to invest in your self delusion? According to your theory Eggsover is you - now that wouldn't surprise me. You both make similar spelling mistakes and work in tandem to attack anything you can't understand - anything reasonable that is. You both go to any length to stir bad feeling too. Thankfully you will never be in a position where you can have any real influence. The thought of you delivering a speech in Cairo is laughable but the inspiration for excellent comedy. If only you could really appear on the Daily Show as another member suggested (or was that you too?)- if only you had the necessary intellect - it aint going to happen. BTW I do have a second account but haven't used it as yet and certainly not to vote for myself. BTW also - I find your articles predictable and boring. I do read them once in a while but will NEVER comment on them again because I'd NEVER bring attention to them again. You have the option to do the same with mine. HavingMySay?

HavingMySay? AndAnotherThing2? There's no difference. Do you enjoy commenting on your own articles time and again? Are you not getting enough attention at home? It's really sad that you have to project your own problems onto others. Self-deluded, self-centered, pretentious...complaining about those characteristics in others - I see it all the time. Surely you're aware of your many faults. And your second profile is certainly not an original concept. You don't have to be a detective to recognize it. The question is, why do you do it? For more reads? For an additional voice against your opposition? For an additional voice of support? Or is it purely for more attention that you crave but cannot receive on your own merit? By the way...I hope you don't use this profile for voting purposes, because that's a violation of Xomba policy and will get you banned. Who is Publius? What is Rational Liberty? It was a magnificent speech. And about Publius

Could you imagine the speech Publius would have delivered in Cairo!? Obama offers a new beginning and an alliance between reasonable people throughout the world then this type (well illustrated by Publius) do as much as possible to rubbish Obama's admirable intentions and seem intent to take steps backwards. Views like his are stupid. It is 65th anniversary of D Day. Believe me everything should be done to stop war and violence between peoples. If America had lived through full scale attacks as the citizens of London, Dresden and Coventry the views of people like Publius would be even less acceptable. People who cannot learn from the mistakes and experience of others are best ignored.

US Seeks New Beginning with Islam - I'll sleep better tonight

The only way anyone could conclude Obama's speech was without merit is by being self-delusional. Other examples of self delusion are rational lovers of war, rational vouyeurs violence and rational libertarians who uphold the suffering of others. Glad that Publius Vomitted +1 for Obama

Predicted that your sort would be outraged and active as soon as Obama delivered his magnificent speech. You must be one of the 2% mentioned in an earlier comment. Hey, guess what? It seems that your reaction has pleased the members that vote but stay away from your self-promoting articles. Some sobbed...some vomited.

Some sobbed...some vomited. I guess it depends on which "messages" you decided to hear. I heard a hypocrite giving a speech about tolerance and unity, delivered by his teleprompters. Best speech in all of history? Not even close. That's quite an absurd statement. Was it filled with pleasant platitudes and flowery rhetoric? Of course...they always are. But it's just another speech by just another politician who is able to read what was written for him. Nothing really stood out - except the fact that he must be living in a fantasy world where up is down, right is wrong, and a speech settles thousand-year conflicts. Yeah...it sounded nice. But reading the transcripts is much more revealing. And putting the speech into the context of something I like to call "reality" makes it far less impressive. Oh, well. As long as the duped remain ignorant, he has little to fear politically. Who is Publius? What is Rational Liberty? How do I join Xomba and get PAID to write?

Sobbed Listening to the Messages in Obama's Speech

Agreed but (very unusually) I prefer the adjectives "amazing", "fantastic" and "beautiful" to "refreshing". Who dared imagine that his speech would deliver so much? Talk was he'd not mention matters of disagreement, "beautiful words" would blur the nature of the world's problems. BUT HE DELIVERED AND CONFRONTED THE PROBLEMS. Americans might only be 5% of the world's population but your President tapped into the minds and spirits of the 98% of the world who want peace and communication. The 1% of violent extremists (of every faith) fear him more than all the weapons in the world. Another 1% fear the world in peace from which they can't profit and thus Obama's abilities too.
