The United States is known in many countries for being hard on crime? Yes or no? Well, for now, we can know at least where the U.S. ranks as far as the world prison population – the very top of the list.
The Law Blog in the Wall Street Journal recently quoted the ranking that was released by the King’s College of London International Centre for Prison Studies which puts the U. S. first with the highest population rate in the world, 756 persons in prison out of every 100,000 of the population.
