US Virgin Islands Community Live in Fear as Homicides Spin out of Control!
posted December 27, 2007 - 11:19amDecember 27, 2007 - On Christmas Day their were three homicides reported in the Virgin Islands territory. Two reported on St. Croix and one on St. Thomas.
In the early morning hours in the John F. Kennedy Housing Community on St. Croix, police discovered six victims that were suffering from gun shot wounds; after a gambling game went bad. Allen Burke died at the scene from gunshot wounds and Kennyetta McIntosh succumbed at the Juan Luis Hospital after suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest and stomach. Four other victims were treated and released from the hospital.
In regards to these homicides a juvenile is being held in custody and Virgin Islands Police Officer Jeffrey Brown, has been picked up for questioning. It is alleged that Jeffrey Brown was driving the vehicle and was seen discarding a shot gun from its window.
Kadeem Leonard, a 19 year-old man was stabbed to death at Coral World in St. Thomas. Another 19 year old, Jahmil A. Brown turned himself in hours after the victim succumbed to his injuries.
