Usability Guidelines for Widescreen Monitors: Widescreen Design

Widescreen monitors are different from standard monitors and this means that standard usability guidelines are not applicable. On the other hand, a widescreen monitor is still a monitor and nobody says that existing sites can't be used. Very often there are just some minor changes needed to an existing design in order to make it widescreen friendly. This article discusses some of the major things you need to have in mind when designing for widescreen monitors.
