The lost penguin is an aspiring writer and sound designer from Scotland. Having gained a BA in Film & Media Studies and History in 2006 and an MA in Post Production: Sound Design in 2007, she plans on taking a gap year to travel the world, just as soon as real life stops getting in the way. Her specialist subjects are American history and the use of sound to create fear in films. She enjoys museums, odd films, architecture, photography and collecting hats. She wishes she understood more about astrophysics. She loves writing, her more academic film work being mainly found at Montage Film Reviews where she spends a lot of time trying to think up new things to say about the Hammer Horror back catalogue, and the more whimsical articles in arts and crafts zine Snippets. The lost penguin misses living by the sea and enjoys referring to herself in the third person.
