Fav. Music: Anything but R&B, most country, and most of what the kids call "death metal." Classical music seems to work pretty well for me these days - there isn't much good new stuff out there anyway.

Fav. Books: 1776, Manhunt, Atlas Shrugged, War & Peace, Dracula (Stoker), The FairTax Book, and many I have yet to read I'm sure.

Bio: Instead of rattling off a list of educational achievements and professional experience, I will tell you about me. I have been classically trained in the art of reason and critical thinking - something that has been lost on recent generations. I am a pragmatist and don't take kindly to people who are irrational or illogical or do not take the time to inform themselves on a topic that they wish to discuss - especially if they are adamant about being right or that someone else is wrong. I am a staunch advocate of individual responsibility and very limited government - the government's sole purpose and function is to protect our basic human rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness...anything further from government is entirely unnecessary and mostly counterproductive. I support the notion that people ought to hold the power in any government of any country, but I do not encourage democracy. The United States is not a democracy and was never intended to be one - everyone who calls this country a democracy is stupid - we are a constitutional republic (for now)...we always have been. I don't live for other people; I live for me. I don't ask others to sacrifice for my personal cause and I expect them not to ask for any sacrifices from me. I do not feel guilty for being a human and I do not feel guilty for being born in the United States. I am not a religious person and I don't care if other people are, as long as they don't speak condescendingly to me because I don't believe that a god is involved in or cares about our everyday lives. I know more about religion, its history, and its application than most people, so I expect the followers of a certain religion to at least know as much about their beliefs as I do...and did I mention that I'm schooled in reason and critical thinking. I'll take logic over mysticism any day, so if you don't try to convert me then our discussions can remain civil. I like nature, but I love what man is capable of doing with its products. Camping is fun, but electricity and civilization is much better. Sometimes my thoughts do not come across in writing as well as they do in my head. Some people may think that I'm arrogant or ego-centric...I say that if you've got it, flaunt it. I like watching (in person) criminal suspects resist arrest and getting shot with tasers - which I've seen many times in my profession and it's still funny every time. That's all for now.
