Bio: I am 50 years old, I am married and have three grown children. For most of my life I have worked in non-traditional jobs. These occupations include, but are not limited to: camp director, recreational consultant for children’s programming, TV writer, restaurant owner, hardware store manager, radio marketing director, concert promoter and schoolteacher. I am currently working as a wine consultant for a company called Wine Shop at Home. Basically I help throw great parties and drink and sell wine for a living. I really am enjoying the freedom of working out of my home, after working 60-80 hours a week for a retail hardware store for five years. Working from home doesn’t pay as good so far, but I have plenty of time to write and be creative. I am originally from Southern California, but have lived in Northern California for the past 17 years. My plan is to continue to write for as many organizations as possible, to enable me to get a permanent paying gig writing for a media outlet.
