I started out in New York and ended up (for now) in New Mexico. I've been around quite a while but still have a few things on my life list to complete. Politically I'm an unrepentant animal rights "extremist" and ethical vegan as well as a not-very-social, old-fashioned socialist-style liberal.

Warning:  Much of my writing is strictly informational, but I also publish material that, for whatever reason, is considered controversial by some. 

If you don’t relish challenges to your comfortable world view, the solution is simple: don’t read my stuff; stick with the safe writers who will be happy to validate your beliefs.  There are plenty of those around.  I don't pull my punches and I do not suffer fools.  Life is just too short.  I understand the drive to make money and/or friends on the Internet, but those are not my primary goals here.

FYI, in my personal world view, truth is not relative, nor is it negotiable, and it's important to me that it get out there.

Favorite TV Shows:

House, Lost, 24, American Idol, MI-5, The McLaughlin Group, Nova, Now, Frontline, Bill Moyers, any well-filmed and respectful "nature"/animal program. I'm totally bored by sports, soaps or soap spoofs, and most reality shows (except for AI and occasionally AGT).

Motown, Beatles, Flamenco, Afro-Cuban
