Using Google Ads as Inspiration for your Articles

Using Google Ads as Inspiration for your Articles

Xomba and certainly Google AdSense Terms of Service (TOS) prohibit clicking your own ads, which certainly makes sense. Further, you cannot exhort anyone reading your article to click them either. Makes sense, too.

So, what other benefit can we derive from those wonderful hyperlinks that surround every article we submit here?

Well, for a short while now, I've begun paying attention to the different ads that end up around the articles I write. They range from the enticing to the just okay, but there are a lot of them.

When I am lacking in inspiration for new articles to write and nothing seems to grab me, I take a gander at the Google AdSense ads around the articles I read on here for ideas. Often, there will be something that "speaks" to me and I will use it as the nucleus of a new article. I don't click the ads unless I would find the information useful (and certainly not mine!), since doing so actually cheats the entity who is paying for the ad out of potential revenue.

It is all part of my ever-evolving philosophy that we go through life with blinders on and often miss opportunities because we are not open to looking at the details of anything that isn't on our mind at any given moment. If we make a conscious decision that we are going to pay attention to the details in our lives, we will open ourselves to actually living.

Try it and you will find that there are many opportunities right in front of you in the here and now.

That's an interesting idea.

That's an interesting idea. When I can't figure out something to write, it's pretty difficult to get through. Usually it has something to do with the mood I'm in. Other places I go to for inspiration are delicious.com to find ideas on what to write about. Also there's a cool site called www.popurls.com that shows what's been popular online at the social bookmarking sites around the web. YOu can find articles and pictures and videos that might give you some new ideas on what you want to write about.

Writers Block

Jdub, you write the greatest articles! I often get a "block" and have difficulty selecting something to write about. Who would have ever thought of such a brilliant idea! Thanks ~

Great idea about google ads

This is a great idea Jim! Wow, who would of that of doing that. Google ads always have something and to be honest, I have seen a lot of great ideas that brought many ideas to my mind, but I never thought of actually writing those ideas...until now of course.LOL.

Thank you!

These types of articles are my favorite kind to write because it speaks directly to my philosophy of the best way to help yourself is to help others. Nick has created something special with Xomba and I am proud to be part of helping it grow in a positive direction. Thank you for your feedback! DO YOU HAVE THE WRITE STUFF?

What a great article!!

That really is a great idea. I wish I had thought of it first... :) I have had a few extra minutes today and have been browsing through several of your articles. I must say, you really have some incredible stuff on here. I have been researching a lot about SEO and keyword phrases, why people are drawn to certain topics, and all the fun stuff that makes the internet go round. I love to find people who get the concept of original writing and intriguing writing, so I can "follow" them in a sense, and learn how to better my own skills in the process. I look forward to reading more of your stuff!

Great article

now i know what to write for my first post

Looking for Gold on the Dung Heap

This is really a great idea, you never know what will spark the imagination and cause inspiration. I'm always looking for something that makes me think and I never really thought about looking to the ads for that spark to create my next masterpiece.

Merci Beaucoup!

Or, as we called it in the Navy, Mercy Buckets! Thank you for your kind words! I've been in kind of a groovy place lately. My wife and I just watched Dan Millman's autobiographical movie Peaceful Warrior this past weekend and I've been digesting the message for a couple of days now. The lesson of living in the here and now was taken from that movie, which was based on a book he wrote quite a few years ago. Good stuff! DO YOU HAVE THE WRITE STUFF?
