Varsity Blues - Is college the right path?
On the 17th, the Wall Street Journal posted an article debating whether or not college is the right path to take for a better life. The article stated that most of US worker wages did not grow after adjusting to the inflation, including those with college education. It stated that the governments statistics show a typical weekly salary for a worker with a bachelor's degree, adjusted to inflation, and wages did not rise since 2006 and were 1.7% below wages in 2001.
Some however disagree with the claims made in that article, such as stating that the government is over-exaggerating about the inflation or even understating wage growth. The statistics also do not include benefits such as health care and retirement.
