Verity Lambert was only 27 when she was tabbed to become the producer of a new sci-fi TV series on the BBC, which turned out to become the cult classic "Doctor Who."

Lambert later went from the BBC to Thames Television, and proved to have a gift for producing a variety of programs from costume drama to crime shows and even sitcoms.
