After two years of carrying around the same cell phone it was finally time to upgrade. I am on the Verizon Family Plan with my mother, and so far that’s been a really good deal. However, anyone who’s had experience with Verizon knows that it’s pretty costly to upgrade before your contract time hits the “upgrade” point. Our point was reached and we went with the Verizon LG enV.

My mother and I like to text back in forth versus having an entire phone conversation when we only need to say a couple of words. This is easily done with the LG enV as it is a regular phone on the front face, but it conveniently flips open and reveals a full keyboard. Inside the flip is also a larger screen display and two small speakers. We are excited because now, instead of hitting the same number button three or four times to get the letter we want during text messages, we just simply flip the phone open and type to our heart’s content!

The camera on this phone works very well too. There is even a cute setting that makes the phone go “say cheese” before it snaps the photo. My old phone took blurry photos but the pictures that the LG enV takes are crystal clear. The phone has lots of memory for storing photos as well so you can take all the pictures you want. It also has a prompt that asks you whether or not you want to save or erase the picture when you take it versus automatically saving it to the phone’s memory. The only downfall with this camera is that there isn’t any flash. I can live without it though.

Music is easily played in good clarity on the LG enV. Sounds are not distorted and songs actually sound like they are supposed to sound. The LG enV is also fully equipped with Vcast and there are many other programs that can be downloaded from Verizon’s Get It Now feature.

The phone, music, and pictures are about as far as I’ve gotten since I’ve had the new enV. But so far I’m absolutely thrilled with this cell phone and would recommend it to anyone.
