Verizon Wireless to Open Its Network

This is really good news both for the developers and the consumers: Verizon Wireless said it will open its network to outside mobile handsets, devices and applications before 2009.

After being tested in a testing lab, Verizon will give its blessing to any wireless device including the gaming gadgets.

Basement programmers must be dizzy with the news. Now all of us can get a crack at big bucks through developing the next Verizon wireless equipment.
