Vimeo, a High-Definition Video-Sharing Service

Vimeo is a new video-sharing service that aims to be like YouTube, except that it deals exclusive with high-definition content.

Vimeo says it uses true 1280x720. To upload a clip to Vimeo, it will have to be this resolution or better. Vimeo says that "Our servers will make a standard quality version first, then a little later your clip will appear in HD."

Vimeo's help page tells you how to get started, and even recommends some encoding settings to use for HD. And yes, Vimeo will work with your HDTV.

What's more, Vimeo says it has a variety of privacy options, so that you can exchange videos with only the people you want to.
