Vision of the Village by the Sea
posted March 24, 2009 - 3:06amThe Vision started out with me standing between the front paws of a massive lion who was sitting down. He was so big that he was easily looking at the view over the top of my head. There was such intense peace, power, and majesty coming from the lion. I felt totally at peace, protected, and secure between his paws.
We were about four hundred feet up on the top of the northern curve of a crescent volcano ridge jutting out of the sea. The harbor opening was to the west. It looked similar to the Island of Molokini. The island looked like the picture below except there crescent points were closer together so that the bay was more protected and there was a beautiful beach that encompassed the entire inner circle of the cove. It was beautiful. I looked down from the northern ridge I saw a wonderful idealistic village placed at the very center of the beach across from the cove’s opening, made out of unpainted wood. It had palm trees all around it. It was peaceful, tranquil, and absolutely beautiful.

Then, in the physical realm my wife said, “Do not move”. We were in meditative prayer together.
In an instant a black wave of about twenty feet high came in and wiped out everything in the cove. I shuttered and wanted to run from the vision. I wanted to jump back, but didn’t dare.
The wave wiped out everything in the cove. The village was gone and so were all of the trees and plants. The black wave left what looked like a black oil slick about four inches thick on everything in the harbor. I was shocked and horrified.
I floated down to look at the oily substance and was about to touch it when the Lion said, “Do not touch it.”
I went back up to him. I stood in front of Him, between His paws, with Him looking over the top of my head.
I then ascended up into the air, the cove got smaller the higher I went. It looked like the cove was set on a large blue marble. The sea and the cove were the only two things on the marble.
We stayed there for a long time. I continued to watch.
Then, I saw a man lift himself out of the oil on the beach and head toward the oily sea in the cove. The man entered the water and swam out a little and then began to sink. He raised his right hand into the air for help and sunk down under the oil.
The Lord then said to me, “This is why I don’t want you working.”
I wanted to help the man. And as I stood there the vision faded out and I was back in my living room. I was a wreck when I got back. I was totally shocked, confused, and horrified.
A few days later some friends invited me to play tennis with them. I haven’t played tennis in years. As I was collecting tennis balls that I had hit out of the court one of my friends said, “Hey grab the extra can of balls out of the back seat of my car.” I went over to his car and opened the back driver’s side door and there was this book laying there next to the can of tennis balls. On the cover of the book there was a dark right hand coming out of a dark wave on the cover. The Title read, ‘RESCUED.’

I tripped out. I was shocked and knew that this was confirmation to what I had seen.
Background story:
Prior to this vision, I had felt that the Lord had spoken to me to quit my job. This was a scary proposition for me, but I got quite a few confirmations from people, without them actually knowing what I was contemplating in my heart.
I had brought this up to a few people and they verbally thrashed into me with Scriptures like, ‘if a man won’t work; he shall not eat.’ They also thrashed me with logical words. They didn't yell at me or anything like that, it was just that they were very adamant about the whole situation. I know they had my best interest in mind and they are still my good friends. They were truly trying to show love to me, from their perspective. They just didn’t understand my leading by the Lord versus their human logic.
One of the ironic things about the confirmation with the book was that the person's car who I had seen the book in, was one of the people who had previously thrashed me over my decision to quit my job.
Update:
Well, to give you an update of what is going on in my life since then: it has been almost two years since this vision. I am entering into my seventh term at college and doing well. I have eaten well ever since, for a couple of weeks it was just fried potatoes and onions, but that was just during the transition between working and starting college. College has been a blast. It took me just a little to get back in the groove, since I had been out of school for 22 years. I had dropped out of school in the beginning of tenth grade, when I became a legal adult at sixteen, during a very rough part of my life, and entered the working world.
I always enjoyed learning. I think maybe that whole process was the Lion of the Tribe of Judah restoring to me what I had lost way back then. He is so good.
