Vote 2008 in America
posted October 23, 2007 - 3:18amNext November, the American political scene is going to make a couple of firsts.
There will be history made when either a female or a black American gets elected by the Democratic Party to run for President.
Many analysts think that Barrick Obama will not be elected for President because demographically and historically he could lack needed support from the south. However, regardless of any electoral outcome, Obama has already come a long way and has only just begun to pave the way to open up the political doors for minorities in general. Either way for American minorities, he is a winner.
Generally speaking, after 8 years of right side policy and agendas, much of the American popluation is ready to see what the left has to offer and is ready for a change. Although the Republican party offers qualified interesting candidates like Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson and Mitt Romney, the depth of political experience and history of Mrs. and Mr. Clinton are going will be difficult to surpass.
Is America ready for a female President and the first "First Man"?
Ask many if not most professional females and they will tell you absolutely yes.
A possible and not yet frequently spoken about scenario is the possiblity of Obama becoming Clinton's Vice Presedential running mate. Impossible? Far fetched? It would be the most progessive and radical move in American Political History that the world has ever seen. Is America ready for it?
We'd put some money on the odds line. The winning combination would be a huge payoff in betting dollars. And for this melting pot called the USA, it may be something that will soon come to life.
But given the nature of elections and the popularity of Gore/Edwards in 2000 and also Edwards VP ticket in 2004 the 3rd time may be the charm for Edwards as Vice President. From a strategic point of view Edwards would have demographic strength from the South, and with his experience in being in the running in a national level presidential campaign, he would be the most likely choice of VP running mate with Clinton.
On the Republican side Mitt Romney has support from high tech CEO's and McCain also has supporters in big business corporate America. Recently early NH polls showed Romney as the current leader for the GOP. Although current CNN polls show Giuliani out in front with by a hard to beat margin.
So the CompuWisdom.com predictions for the Vote 2008 tickets are:
Clinton/Edwards (P/VP) vs. Romney/McCain (P/VP)
CNN has a great site with all the Republican and Democratic Presidental candidates. Check it out and see who you're going to be voting for.
And remember to Vote 2008!
