Walmart and Straight Talk Wireless

Straight Talk Unlimited is one of the offered by Walmart and Straight Talk Wireless.  The new prepaid Unlimited plan is $45 a month.   You recieve Unlimited minutes, Unlimited text messages and Unlimited data for $1.50 per day.  You will not be able to use your phone as a modem for your laptop computer with the Straight Talk plan.  The terms specifically state you are not allowed to tether your computer with your Straight Talk Phone.  The netware in the phone is also designed so you cannot tether.

Who is Straight Talk Wireless?
They are a new Prepaid Wireless Cell phone company that is a partership between  Walmart, Verizon Wireless and Tracfone Prepaid.  Walmart will provide the marketing,Tracfone, the prepaid phone software and the customer service and Verizon is providing the cell phone network.

What is the Straight Talk “All you Need” Plan?
"All you Need" is a the other plan that Straight Talk offers.  It is $30 per 30 days and includes 1,000 minutes, 1,000 text messages, and 30 meg of data.  This is the lowest price you will find on 1,000 minutes of prepaid cell minutes on a National network and that is not counting the texts and the data.  If you aren't using over 1,000 minutes a month and you are spending more than $30 a month this could be an even better plan than the "Straight Talk Unlimited" plan.

Where will Straight Talk Unlimited Work?
Since Verizon Wireless is part of the partnership the Verizon network carries your Straight talk calls.  Anywhere Verizon service works well Straight talk should work. This will have the same coverage as the Verizon Prepaid service has. Verizon has one of the biggest Cell networks in the US. Walmart and Straight Talk Wireless phones are in almost every Walmart in the US and online at Straight Tallk.com

How does Straight Talk Work?
It is very simple.  You buy a Straight Talk Phone—you can only use Straight Talk Phones–and a Straight Talk Phone Card.  You will scratch the cover (much like a lottery ticket seal)  and find a 15 digit card number.

In the menu  you will click on “Prepaid” and then “Add Airtime.”  Then you type  the 15 digit number into your phone and it will be active for another month.

Straight Talk Display
On the Display your phone will show you how many days you have left before you need to add another phone card.   If you are on the “All you Need” plan the number of minutes you have left also will show on your display.

The Straight Talk Phones

Comments

I just bought the Samsung R451c

I just bought the Qwerty keyboard Samsung R451c and I really like it.

lots of minutes and lots of texts for only $30 a month.

Straight Talk

Straight Talk is really wonderful. I got the the Samsung Finesse and it is almost the exact same thing as an Iphone! And I pay 45 dollars a month now for unlimited texting, minutes, and data. I was paying almost 100 bucks am month with my iphone and the AT&T service was just going in and out. I couldn't even use my phone at my work place. It just is a no -brainer to me and I wish I switched earlier. I have been saving soooo much money!! Plus the service is on the verizon network ( which we all know has the best coverage) so I never have to worry about my service going in and out. The phone is great and their customer service is amazing. Any time I have needed anything they were more than willing to speak with me.

Super saver Straight Talk

I agree Straight Talk is such a great deal. I love the fact that it is a prpaid provider so there is no bill or extra charges. Who needs carry over minutes when Straight talk gives so much at such fantastic prices. If you are thinking of changing to Straight Talk from a contract thing about the fact that the money you save every month will pay for the early termination fee in a few months. Straight Talk is really worth is.

New to Straight Talk

I also just switched over to Straight Talk and am really pleased with my new service provider. At first i was a little sceptical about the whole "prepaid" idea, but after some research i figured I might as well give it a try since there is no contract, and therefore, no commitment. After a week, I have to say, I can see myself using this provider. For $45 a month, I am getting unlimited talk and text and I get to use the internet. Although I don't have the new Samsung that they just released, I have been using the classic razr by motorola, and for what I am using it, it is awesome. I will post in a few months to give a follow up review. For the price and what it offers, you can't go wrong with at least giving Straight Talk a try.
